1 Of 40 Selena GomezSelena Gomez has been quite the hair chameleon in 2017 (thanks, extensions!). After taking her signature long locks to lob-level in early January, Gomez was quickly spotted sporting that flowing mane again on tour. The end of April, however, saw her most dramatic change yet — a choppy chin-grazing cut that her fans are loving (her side-by-side Instagram post has over 4 million likes and counting). But she took it a step further — ahem, more like a few inches shorter. Following a break up with actor Orlando Bloom, Perry went in for a shaggy pixie cut and upgraded to platinum blonde. It might just be her fiercest look yet. In her Vogue cover story, Stone still has her shoulder-grazing lob, so it could just be a totally believable wig. Either way, it’s clear that Emma looks excellent with literally any hair length, particularly one that shows off her eyes like this. Celine Dion debuted the new cut at an event for Stand Up to Cancer, a meaningful cause for her given the tragic loss of her husband and manager René Angélil to throat cancer earlier this year. Her outfit featured a shirt that reads, “My Loved Ones #Reasons2StandUp.” GettyAdvertisement – Continue Reading Below 5 Of 40 Candace Cameron BureCandace Cameron Bure, a.k.a. DJ Tanner from Full House and Fuller House, got a big makeover, going from long ombre waves to a modern shaggy lob that hits just below her chin. Styled straight and side-parted with lots of texture, it’s right on trend for fall 2016. “It’s shorter in the back, longer in the front, has beautiful movement and long side-swept bangs,” Daniel Blaylock, Bure’s stylist, told Us Weekly. “She loved how healthy her hair felt, how effortless it looks, and the movement in the cut!” Getty Instagram/Candacecbure 6 Of 40 Chrissy TeigenJust in time for her first baby, model Chrissy Teigen traded in her tumbling balayaged waves for a beautiful blonde lob with a delightfully lived-in gradient. While her previous look was totally glam, this one is delightfully carefree, messy, and totally on-trend for summer. Attending the MAKERS Conference, the actress debuted her updated hairdo for 2016 by going from long, shoulder-length locks to a shaggy cropped bob that hits just past her chin. The straight, razored cut, paired with her winter white sleeveless turtleneck dress, looked ultra mod. Getty 8 Of 40 Melissa McCarthyThe lob, aka the biggest haircut of 2015, is proving once again that it’s here to stay. Its latest fan: Melissa McCarthy, who took inches off her hair bringing it up to a chic, shoulder-grazing length. While her previous style was bulky at the bottom and covered parts of her face, this feathery ‘do by celebrity hairstylist Renato Campora shows off her bone structure with a soft, delicate wave towards the front. Though she maintained a great deal of her length and kept the same color, her new look is totally different, proving once again that bangs can make a major impact. He snapped a photo of the back of the actress’s head post-cut, showing off his beautiful, classic A-line bob. Of the style, he told Refinery 29 that “she is loving it and keeps wanting to go shorter, so may see it cut even more in the days to come.” We’re looking forward to it!

This Morning You know that one style doesn’t fit all when it comes to hairstyles, and it’s easy to fall in love with a look you spy online, on TV, or while out and about. But how do you decide what to do with your hair when you want to switch things up?Some women consider their hair type, and others the length, and many just do whatever they want. Liberate yourself! However, stylists can offer great insight into flattering ‘dos that can accentuate your natural beauty and features, and complement your face shape.UK show This Morning welcomed special guest and hairstylist Leo Bancroft to demonstrate how to find the right styles for your face shape. Some styles help to balance out strong features like square jawlines, while others highlight youthfulness. With five common structures on the board, Leo starts out with the heart shape.Heart-shaped FacesWith heart faces, the head is wider at the top and comes to a point at the chin. Bangs, top knots, and cuts that bring hair right below the jaw are flattering. Hair that drapes around or below the chin helps to fill in the area around it.Square ShapesNext, for square-shaped faces, fringe bangs and bobs will add to the strong facial angles. But having length and layers will actually soften the sharp features.Round FacesLeo continues with round faces, which he calls youthful! He suggests staying away from circular coifs on top of the head, and instead going for side-swept bangs or cuts with longer lengths around the chin. This MorningLong FacesFeatures of a long face are not as wide as an oval, but narrower at the chin. Leo recommends fringe bangs again, which will help to make the face appear wider. A long flat style will add length to the face, so instead you should opt for something with layers, waves, or curls, which can soften angles and give shape to the hair.Oval FacesLastly, Leo says that oval shaped faces are considered balanced and versatile, so finding a suitable hairstyle that is flattering is fairly easy. One of things Leo points out is that you should decide if you want to emphasize your facial structure or balance it out by neutralizing some of its sharper points. This can help you determine which hairstyles will soften your face, give you more definition, or fill in angles.Learn how to discover your face shape by watching the video and doing a step-by-step mirror trick to help you narrow down which one is you. You can also check out Leo’s beautiful makeovers for three women who have defined their facial structures. He explains how to balance or emphasize your face’s shape with different styling techniques. While no two faces are the same, with these tips you can find what works best for you and flatter yourself with a new ‘do! Have you ever studied your face shape in the mirror before? Would you try adjusting your hairstyle according to your facial shape? Or will you just pick what you like and tell your stylist to go for it? Share with us in the comments! Share on Facebook
